Sencha - The most well known Japanese Green Tea

The term Sencha encapsulates all the high-class Sencha varieties out there. This well-rounded tea is a "green tea for everyone", having a chameleon personality with multiple grades, cultivars, and regions. Grown in the open sun, this green tea category represents about 80% of all the tea grown in Japan. Most tea aficionados will be more specific and name Sencha from a particular area or production method like Fukamushi Sencha.
