Karigane - shiraore

Also called Shiraore in Kyushu, Karigane is shaded for at least 20 days, and the stalk twigs hold the key to Karigane's sweetness. Crafted from prized Gyokuro stems, veins and twigs, Karigane is a "brand name for less". It is different from Kukicha which is made from the twigs of sun-grown Sencha.
